They use transfat free shortening/oil, staff/owners are friendly and fast, and the donuts are pretty good.

I really can't say enough positive things about DK's. I'm not a huge donut person but I've been coming to this place for 25 years, off and on, to pick up donuts for the office or grab the occasional coffee. They are always super crowded in the mornings but they are so efficient that I've never waited more than 5 minutes, even when there's a line out the door. Or it can be pouring rain and the drive thru is packed, but you usually get in and out. Good donuts, great coffee and the staff should literally be teaching seminars on customer service.

I'm from the East coast and donuts has always meant Dunkin Donuts or Krispy Kreme unless you were hosting a fancy event or something. DK's was the first Southern California donut shop I tried upon moving here, and... it was the best I've ever had in my life. On top of that, both times I have walked out of there feeling undercharged AND I look in the bag to find that the lady has thrown in some extra free donut holes too. (Maybe because I visited during non rush hours?) I haven't tried any of the other strangely ubiquitous socal donut shops I see everywhere yet. Maybe they're all this good? If I can convince myself to stray from DK's, I'll write another review to compare.

Cash only but we are used to that by now when it comes to donuts. Barely anything left when I came, and it really seems that not one DK's is alike. The one in Santa Monica is by far the best, some in OC are excellent as well, this would have to be my least favorite one. No cronuts for one, staff was meh, location a bit run down and scuzzy and not much to chose from right beofre lunch time. We had a mixed dozen and while it was cheap, $10, nothing wowed me at all. Not super fresh, no unique flavors, not bad, but not worth going out of my way to come back for.

Just started coming here a couple months ago when the donut shop near my house changed owners and wasn't the same. DK donuts always has a huge selection of freshly baked donuts and they always give u a few donut holes free with your order. It's only a couple miles from my place and definitely worth the drive. Gotta have my donut fix at least once a week! Lol

As others have said - CASH ONLY. Know this going in. No ATM on site, so best be ready to roll with dollar bills. I was torn between a solid 3 stars and going up to a 4 star rating. The doughnuts were absolutely delicious. I mean...yup, we will be back for more doughnut deliciousness. Staff was a bit rushy. There is ZERO signage as to what doughnuts are what, which was hard for me since I have a nut allergy. Each tray could use a sign with what that particular doughnut is to save time from having to ask. My husband asked what something was, and due to communication issues he ended up getting it with our other orders. The inside was a disaster. There was glaze goodness everywhere. The donuts definitely get messy, but every table was decorated in this messiness. Seemed like most people grabbed and ran, so guess that's not a big deal overall. You do get an adorable mini doughnut bite with every order, which is awesome. And like I said...yum on the doughnut scale. Overall: A In some serious need of signage for what's what inside. Grab and go with your doughnuts. Get doughnuts here. Yum!

My ham & cheese croissant craving is insatiable that it's borderline disturbing. Lol Could it be a medical condition? Whatever it is, DK's Donut's only feeds into that problem. For $3.25, you'll receive a well-sized, flaky, doughy, and tasty ham, cheese, and jalapeño croissant. I love how sweet and salty the ham is here. However, my complaint would be towards the proportions since it lacks the meatiness and cheesiness at each bite. I'd dare say that only a rolled, sliver of ham is provided. Although with this notion in mind, I wouldn't hesitate to buy it again if I were in the area, but Seaside still reigns supreme. As for donuts, all the classic favorites are available and can be had at anytime since this establishment is open 24/7. They're all $0.80 cents to $1 too. I can't endorse them as having the best tasting though because my glazed donut and maple bar lacked the doughy and dense bite that I prefer. I also have a problem with their glaze which resembles the dissatisfying taste of artificial sweeteners. Perhaps it was a bad night, but I can't say I'd run full-speed to grab these donuts again. A dozen can be had for $10. ---- Conclusion: While the ham, cheese, and jalapeño croissants are worth a try, the donuts could use improvement. The owners are extremely nice though and gave me a free donut on my visit. I'll be back to support and you should too!--Just make sure to bring cash. Extra Notes: -CASH ONLY -ATM available inside with a $1.75 fee -open 24/7 -Drive thru available -Great service -Decor is similar to winchells -Seats inside and out -No restroom

This donut place is by far one of my favorites!! I gave this place 4 stars since its CASH only, which sucks... Most of us don't carry cash, wish an ATM was around. The service is great, fast and even will throw in an extra donut. Definitely a must try and reasonable prices for a dozen.

YUM. We went for a little dessert tonight at 8 p.m. and the donuts were delicious and so fresh! DKs was clean and the selection is great. We will definitely be back!

  • Edwin H.

The quality of the donuts is great! Customer service is good. They gave us a bunch of free donut holes with each donut and it wasn't that expensive at all. I did take off one star because they accept cash only :( Luckily I had a few bucks in my wallet. Highly recommend this place for a quick snack or breakfast treat.

I came here as stop #2 on a donut run, and thought it was just okay. I had visited Donuttery prior to stopping by here and thought it was much better. I walked out with a glazed donut with rainbow sprinkles, and thought the glaze had a really bizarre taste to it. Didn't taste sweet or vanilla-y like most glazes, but had more of an artificial, sugary flavor to it - blegh. The lady working was nice though - she gave my friend and I each a couple complementary donut holes, which I appreciated. Also note that this place is cash only, so I had to go to a nearby 7-11 and get cash back (I think they have an ATM there as well but they probably charge you a fee for withdrawing money).

  • Michelle T.

The lady here is an absolute sweetheart. I came in for an afternoon sweet craving and just ordered one glazed and she threw in some donut holes since it was probably the end of the day. Service you don't really see anymore. Hole in the wall, mom and pop type of place that will best Krispy kremes any day of the week. Theres even a drive thru.

Yummy donuts in my tummy!!!! So I've read good reviews about this donut spot and since it's near my house I had to come check it out. A drive thru donut shop??!!! How awesome!! As soon as I drove up I saw a ton of people inside which I think is a good thing. It means they have some good donuts. I was greeted at the window with a big smile and a "how are you doing today?" I told him what kind of donuts I was looking for (a chocolate glazed donut and one with sprinkles) he brought them to me and showed me Before bagging them to make sure that those were the ones I was looking for. The transaction was quick and easy. Customer service was an A+ and the donuts are super tasty and fresh. They also added some free donut holes(: . I will definitely be back to this cute little shop.

This isn't one of those fancy shmancy donut shops. This is your little hole it was wall joint pumping out all your classic favorites. They even have cronuts! I've never had the pleasure of having a cronut, but one day! I had a bagel bacon, egg and cheese sandwich and it was marvelous. The cheese was nice and gooey. Yummm! Glazed twist was on point too! And you have to love a place that fills the rest of your bag up with donut holes! The ladies that work the front are super friendly and they get you in, out and on your way very quickly! I'm a fan!

  • Justin F.

Picked up a couple donuts in the morning, so fresh and tasty. All traditional styles, nothing craft or hipster or 'signature.' Cash only is fine... seriously people we're only talking a few bucks.

Great donuts! The owner was incredibly sweet and even threw in some free donut holes! I shall definitley return as I am very happy with the service and the yummy donuts.

Tasty donuts. Many ladies working made them efficient when there was a bit of a rush. Drive up window is a nice touch.

  • Rachel T.

I definitely had high expectations, I assumed it was going to be just the like Orange location with tons of selections and variety but I was wrong :( We came in here around 11AM and their was no cronuts in sight, just your regular selection of donuts that you would find in a typical donut shop. My mom and sisters donuts were on point by my sugared twist was dry as a bone :( I also didn't care for the older lady sitting in the back hawking us as if we were going to rob them -_- I will definitely stick to the Orange location or give the Tustin location a chance.

Standard donuts. Not a bad donut shop. Service is nice. They have all the basics. Boyfriend loved the apple pie dounut, too sweet for me. I loved the large cake dounuts, chocolate on top, and the blueberry cake donut was wonderful!!! The do not have all the fancy donuts. So no strawberry cream cronuts, no bacon maple bars, or captain crunch toppings. Just standard donuts, but yummy donetheless. There are DK donuts all over - do not know if they are all the same owners but seem very different from what I can see.... So FYI.

Love the staff at this location, I buy my staff donuts every other Sunday and the ladies working the counter are efficient and friendly.

  • Charlene T.

Great customer service. Their ham and cheese croissants are delicious ( and so are their donut holes, which I got a couple for free with my croissant :3)! Coming here in the morning makes my day~

  • Karina G.

This place has the best donuts and ham and cheese croissants!! The staff is quick and friendly. Plus...this place has a drive through!! Prices are reasonable, they've been here like over 20 years!

  • Eric O.

Being from New Jersey, I find it delightful that donuts are specialty shops in California. My review is bias because DK's is in walking distance and I'm a simple glazed or chocolate guy, I've never had a bad experience during morning rush or late night after drinks. Service is always polite and donuts taste great.

I drove all the way here just to find out its cash only smh. I just can't deal with cash only places.

  • Tony Y.

Best tasting sprinkle donuts by far. Cheap cronuts $2.50!, amazingly fluffy with just the right sugar coat. Super nice staff, and piping hot coffee. All this for less than 7 bucks for two? I think someone's getting dollar menu tonight, my treat.

I grew up in Costa Mesa and I love this place We rocked three ham and Cheese croissants- they were delicious!!!

    (4)
  • Sydney K.

CASH ONLY or I'd give it five stars! The taste, the look, the smell--everyone who ate one loved the donuts! (Not allergy friendly, so I was not included in the tasting bunch, but seeing everyone enjoy them was good enough for me!) HUGE SELECTION!!

    (4)
  • Laura Leath F.

I had to stop here on my trip thru Costa Mesa! Love these doughnuts! Bought a dozen and wished I'd bought two! Worth the trip! Yummy!!

  • Emily H.

The one time I've been here, the worker was all smiles and gave me and my cousin free donut holes (I guess it's part of their service). Of course, the place looks standard and not very fancy. The donuts aren't exceptional but hey, I'm not complaining. I would come back again when I'm craving some donuts. The drive thru window is pretty convenient too in case you're in a hurry somewhere.

    (5)
  • Rachel Y.

Came here at 630AM to get some cronuts to surprise my roommate for her birthday cause she's never had them before & the workers (3 elderly women) were so nice! I didn't know any of the flavors or fillings of the cronuts but they patiently & kindly told me which ones were which. I ended up getting 3, came out to $8. They even added a couple complimentary donut holes & gave me a box too after I asked for one. Will definitely come back again if my roomie says she likes the cronuts!

  • Fred H.

We came here for a late night snack. The main door was closed but the drive through window was open. The ham and cheese is awesome, similar to Seaside in Newport Beach. The donuts holes are standard.

    (4)
  • Leanne N.

Just your average donut shop. 1 star for service, and 1 star for the fact that the owner gave me free donut holes after hearing me talk about it. And 1 star for being open 24/7. Usually, donut places gives you 10 holes for $1. This place gave me 7. The young boy who was working seemed confused about everything so I asked him just to be sure. It was no biggie but it was generous for the owner to give me a couple free. Really dirty place though..... Couldn't finish my croissant because I got too grossed out sitting there.

Holy Cronut batman - this place is freakin good!! I have tried nearly every piece of deliciousness in this place. You can't go wrong what you choose. Too many pro's to list. Read through other people's reviews to help give you an idea of what to order. Good news is that you can't go wrong. Must try their different cronuts. Cons: just few minor. 1. If you wait to go later on in the morning all of their maple bars are sold out. I love maple bars not only because I am a major piggy, but the way they make them taste fresher than most places. 2. I recently went there and noticed that the lady in the back making the donuts was not wearing gloves nor wearing a hair net. Granted, I have never gotten sick off of any of these donuts (unless, of course, I ate too many which I often do - damn I'm a piggy) nor have I ever seen a black hair. However, this is the main reason this place does not get a 5th star. If I ever see a hair in my delicious maple bar I may have to kill myself because I can never return :( 3. They do not accept credit cards. I mean really? Who doesn't take a credit card now-a-days. I know it's a little pathetic to have to use a credit card to order a half dozen donuts for $5 but not everyone, such as myself, always has cash in the pocket. Ugh Happy donuts everyone!!

**Cronut review Have I just been juked?? I just came home from my NY trip where I actually waited in line to try THE cronut and I've been craving it since I devoured the last bite. A friend recommended DK donuts so I came here searching for a temporary replacement. I did my yelp research and saw the DK donuts in Santa Monica had great reviews and I assumed this location would be the same thing. WRONG!!! I called to make sure they had some cronuts before I headed over and they said they had a few left, so I rushed over. When I got there I didn't see any! So I asked the Asian lady if she had any left and she said yes. Sweet! They must be in the back because they just made them fresh right? NOOPE! She points to these flat square pastries that are cut in half and filled with custard. Uhhhhh... Didn't look like a cronut to me.. But I was already there so what the hell. Well, there goes $3 I'll never get back. It was absolutely nothing like a cronut. It wasn't flaky, it wast crispy on the outside, it just tasted like a regular donut! And an overly sweet one at that. She threw in 2 free donut holes but that couldn't salvage anything. It was a nice gesture but they were just your average donut hole imo. Before you question whether my standards were just too high, let me say I had already lowered my expectations for SoCal cronuts, but this just wasn't a cronut in any way, shape, or form. I'm disappointed because looking at other yelper's pictures, it seems this place does offer cronuts that at least look like a cronut. I don't know if she ran out of cronuts and tricked me into buying these instead or what, but I won't be returning to find out.

This place has been around forever, and they have great donuts and croissants. I really like the warm ham and cheese croissants, chocolate bars stuffed with custard, and the glazed donut holes. I usually come in around 11 am and they still have full racks of fresh donuts. They only take cash, but there is an ATM inside the store. It's owners by an older Asian couple and they work hard and are very friendly.

  • Kimmy P.

Their apple fritters and blueberry donuts are to die for. We've been back so many times that I've been able to try their glazed donuts, chocolate donuts, crumb donuts, all types of donut holes, and cream or jam filled donuts. They are all fantastic! They are perfectly made. When you're craving something sweet and deep fried, DK'S Donuts will hit the spot, guaranteed. They are open 24/7, which is just simply amazing, and it's a real comfort to know I can get my donut fix at any time ;) Next on my list to try is the cronut and maybe the croissants! The people behind the counter are usually *really* nice, and usually give you a few extra freebies (like extra donut or donut holes) in your donut bag! And if you encounter a worker who is not full of sunshine, maybe consider what time you're coming in at and how hard they've probably been working :) food.sky-song.org/2012/0…

Got an apple fritter and a bear claw ($1.65 each) on a Sunday afternoon. The lady threw in some free donut holes, but they didn't make the difference: all donuts were dry, had barely filling or apple and without any taste besides cold, old fat from the fryer. Returning customer? Won't be me.

  • Esther C.

I was craving donuts on a Sunday night .. and the 24/7 Donut Star in Irvine was NOT going to satisfy my craving. We started heading over to Seaside Bakery in Newport Beach but I remembered all the good things I've heard about DK's Donuts and decided to head over there instead. They were out of ham, cheese & japapeno croissants at 9pm but I don't blame them. I got a maple bar and sugar twist and it hit the spot! The donuts were delicious and satisfying .. as all donuts should be. The lady working alone seemed very efficient and was working the counter and the drive-through without a problem. She even through in some donut holes. I will be back .. as long as I have cash (although there is an ATM inside)!

Arrived after midnight and the older Asian couple inside were working Iike they were expecting a rush soon bringing out shelves and shelves of fresh donuts. I had stopped by 3 donut shops in the area and all had bare shelves of stale donuts and lazy workers sitting around so I decided to go out of my way to DK's and I was so glad I did! First off the door was locked and it was a drive-thru only place since it was after midnight on a Monday night but the place is cash only and I had no cash so I needed to use their ATM which was inside so she trustfully unlocked the door and let my juvenile delinquent 5 yr old and I inside, lol. We picked a selection of amazing looking donuts (a dozen, in fact) and when I got home I counted an extra 5 donuts in the box for free! So anyways, its not about just the food, its about the people sometimes and for someone to be slaving in the kitchen after midnight so I can have a fresh donut says alot about the character of a person. The donuts alone would get them 5 stars but because they were such nice people, courteous and friendly, they get my return business. I ate my blueberry donut on my way home and it was heaven. My son ate some orange dream tasting cake donut and no complaints there either. We will definitely be back!

My favorite donuts are the blueberry, pink french cruller, and maple old-fashioned. My favorite place to get a blueberry donut is the Donuttery. The selection at DK's is pretty standard for any donut shop, but they do donuts proper from what I have tried. Pink Cruller: Sometimes these can be too doughy or hard and stale, but at DK's they have the perfect give when you bite into it. Blueberry Donut: Definitely sweeter than the ones Donuttery, but still definitely pretty good although I can't decide if I like Mag's in Irvine better. Old-Fashioned: DK's is my go to for this. Ham, Cheese, and Jalapeno Croissant: The placement of the ham, cheese, and jalapenos is terrible, so plan on eating a lot of croissant. It was pretty tasty though, but not superb. Donuts - A Service - A Overall - A 1 Drive-Thru Available Cash ONLY Open 24/7 Free donut holes that are bomb. I always end up wanting more.

My husband and I go here every Friday for coffee and sometimes donuts. They have the best hazelnut coffee. And the prices are so good! We get a full breakfast for under $10. The employees are friendly and helpful and I'm always satisfied.

INcredible!!!!!! ALso, the owners were super sweet. They gave me free donut holes that were fantastic. One of my top 10 donut shops.

They start making fresh donuts around 11 pm and are open all night (I think). Definitely the place to go for a late night sweet tooth.

  • David P.

I got my normal order dozen including a chocolate bar, maple bar and a white frosting with chocolate sprinkles. They included a bonus glazed blueberry donut. The chocolate bar and maple bar were...subpar. They tasted dry and old and for buying donuts at 6:45 AM, that is unacceptable. The maple and chocolate frosting also tasted off. A little too sweet while lacking the rich chocolate and maple flavor. The blueberry donut was one of the best donuts I have had. It was moist and crispy on the outside. Delicious. The service was good and the place was packed. A dozen donuts and small milk was $11.25 which is on the pricier end of hole in the wall donut shops in my opinion, however given the free blueberry donut I still feel like it was a good value. The only other note is that the ordering process is awkward since they have boxes stacked over their donut display case so you can't actually see the person you're ordering donuts from. I will be back for those blueberry donuts but nothing else. For quality standard donuts you're better off going to Luv N donuts a mile away.

  • Casey S.

DKs has everything going for it but falls short of the deliciousness I seek from an exceptional donut. Asian staff, blue collar workers outside huddled around coffee, a line for the goods and even a drive thru. These elements led me to believe I found a donut shop worthy of ranking at the top of the list, nope. I'd compare DK's to Winchell's Donuts. Good solid donuts yes, but not something you go out of your way to find. The fritter was good, a bit too thin but that didn't stop me from eating the entire thing. The donut holes were alright too, something most shops suck at. The Old Fashioned was good as well. A solid GOOD for DK's. Thanks for playing, I'll be moving on to find the best donut in the OC .

There is nothing to not like about this place, 24 hours, good donuts and pastries Ham n Cheese is amazing, drive thru! Best donut shop

    (5)
  • Michael-Anthony T.

Its your average neighborhood donut shop. The owners were pretty nice and friendly. I mean, seriously, how can you say donuts are NOT good, they're pretty damn good. This place is good if you are in a hurry to class at OCC and would like to pick something up before class starts. The drive thru is pretty funny and very random, go check it out for your self, im not lying

Amazing! So soft and fluffy. They were willing to make me to order a maple bar filled with cream. See picture wow is that good!!!!

  • Ellie N.

Couldn't resist coming back one more time for their DELICIOUS blueberry donuts. Honestly I've tried quite a few other donut shops but none can top DK's blueberry donuts! They're always moist, and full of blueberry flavor. Unlike the other places I've tried, they're usually dense... And once again to my surprise, upon ordering just 2 blueberry donuts they added 5 glazed donut holes on the house!!

After a recent concert at the PacAmp fellow Yelper Jimi H. and I were looking for something quick to eat and fill that alcohol induced hunger. Upon a quick search we found DK's. I ordered a ham/cheese/ jalapeno croissant and a few other goodies I'm too ashamed to list here...Ok ok I also ordered a cream cheese croissant and a couple of donuts and like most doughnut places the lovely lady behind the counter threw in an extra doughnut which was a very moist blueberry doughnut. But back to the highlight of the place which was the first croissant. The ham/cheese/jalapeno croissant was great! Unlike most places who like to be a bit more cost effective for themselves and skimp on filling DK's croissant was a solid meal in itself. Upon picking up the bag I thought she has placed two in my bag until I looked inside and noticed it was just 1 all alone. The jalapenos gave it a nice kick but they did seemed to be bunched in the middle so halfway thru eating it your mouth is on fire for a few minutes. Bottom line. if you're in the area and you're jonesing for a ham/cheese/jalapeno croissant then look no further.

Looks like DK's famous blueberry donuts have caught on. Yes these things really are the greatest ever. Um, have you had a fresh blueberry glazed right outta the fryer? Yeah, didn't think so. They are life changing. Oh yeah, and it's rumored that the Mexican guys who are sitting out front all hours of the night are like huge coke lords or something. Enter at your own risk.

I am in love with this bakery! The blueberry cake donuts are like butter! So moist, soft, sweet....oh so perfect!! The gal who rang us up was sooo nice, she doubled our order for free! That gives you 5 stars in my book! We also ordered the croissant sandwichs...ham, egg, and cheese! They were huge and perfect!! love love love!! :)

  • Christine V.

The Employees are very kind. I like ordering their donut holes...all three flavors. A dozen Of them for 1.75$. :) It's amazingly crispy at first bite, and then just melts in your mouth after. As for their blueberry donuts, they did a decent job compared to m & m donuts. I always have myself something warm to drink, like their French vanilla cappuccino to top off eating the donuts. Any warm drink compliments a donut. The best thing is that they open 24 hours. I sometimes have a really late sweet tooth so I must have something to satisfy me and you.

I can't stress enough how this place is literally the perfect donut shop. There donuts are absolutely delicious and they taste fresh. There chocolate donuts are like ice cream in your mouth. On the plus side, they also give you some free donuts on the side. The staff is friendly and adorable. I strongly recommend this place to any donut or breakfast lover. Go DK's!!

As a student I'm always studying late and waking up right before class starts sigh the irony. When I need a quick bite you'll find me here at DK donuts. They are open 24 hrs and even has a little drive thru window for those really late to class. My usual order is a Ham N Cheese Croissant with small coffee. Ham N Cheese: is crispy and flaky however its a tad salty Don't be surprise if you find some extra donut holes in your bag. One time I also found some mini turnovers in my bag :) Brings me back to those cracker Jack days where you can't wait to open the box just to get to the prize inside Coffee: Is rich and bold. I prefer their coffee over Starbucks Its CASH only however their is a ATM machine in the shop that charges $1.50 per transaction. I want to try their Eclairs one of these days they look magically delicious. Seen that no one has post a picture up, I'll make sure I'll take a picture of it for you hungry OCC students out there reading my review

After a not-so-great experience at a new boutique shop in San Diego, I was reminded that I've never had a bad experience at DK's. It's around the corner, open 24-hours, inexpensive, and last time I went in, at 11:30pm, there were fresh, hot glazed blueberry donuts and old-fashioneds coming out of the fryer. There is NO BETTER way to eat a donut than when it is hot and fresh. I have had donuts off the rack there as well before and they are always consistently good. The owners are lovely and last time included a free extra blueberry glazed with my order. I'd like to know that this local business will stay around.

My brother lives in the area. One day I was staying at his place, I was jonesing for some donuts. I saw DK's Donuts on yelp and had to try them out. I have to say that this is one of the best donut places that I have ever been to. Not only was every donut, I had top notch the bear claw had apples in them. APPLES!!! The apple fritter was crunchy and flavorful. My favorite things here have to be the donut holes though. The donut holes here were drenched in sugar. Usually when you order donut holes, there is only sugar on the top for some odd reason, but not at DK's. Sugar all around, just to make sure you're still getting fat. She gave us a ton of free donut holes, which seems like something normal here. She also gave us a free orange juice. SWEET!!! I am definitely coming here nearly everytime I go to my brothers place.

Oh my GOD - these donuts are incredible. I'm speechless. I ate four chocolate twists in one day and I do not regret it at all. AND I'M SUPPOSED TO BE ON A DIET.

Needed to know a donut shop on way close to work for bday snacks for a coworker and this place has great donuts and they threw in a couple freebies! ;)

Awesome been going here off and on my whole life. I love their customer service and they always throw in free donut holes no matter what I purchase as long as there is a donut in the purchase. Their ham and cheese croissants are way danky I love them. This is my go to donut shop AWESOME.

Here you will find any average donuts you'd find around. But their ham and cheese croissants though! Super cheap and super yummy. Filled with gooey cheese. Very similar to seaside.

I've never even been here but the service was so bad that I had to listen to my wife complain about it for an hour. For sake of husbands every where, shut down your business.

Right off the bat, I gotta say that the donuts are just good. I haven't had anything really special in the two times that I've been. But the first time I came me and my friend got a ton of extra donut holes, like they had 5-6 left after I got my order and they threw the rest in.. They also threw in an extra regular glazed. Last night I came with another friend but he only had a hundred bill on hand. They weren't able to break it so I told them I'd "Come back, gonna go to the bank". Usually that means no but since they were so nice, I thought i'd come back alone after eating a late dinner. Lets just say I thought I ordered 3 donuts and when I got home I had 6-7...

Oh the sugar! DK's Donuts has everything I want in a donut shop: * Friendly service * Low prices * Delicious, handmade donuts! Don't be fooled by it's somewhat worn and old-fashioned appearance. This place is a diamond in the rough. The workers at DK's always practice great, speedy customer service. They're so generous too! We always find free extra donut holes or even extra donuts in our bag, just because! The price is right and my husband and I can both leave satisfied for less than $5 combined. The donuts are obviously fresh and handmade. The sugar is REAL, my friends. No substitutes here! DK's Donuts is our go-to place for donuts and a real Costa Mesa institution.

I like having DK's Donuts as my neighborhood doughnut shop. The staff is really friendly and the doughnuts are delish! And a drive-thru option is just plain silly fun.

Ok this place has the most amazing donuts, they are the same flavors are most other places, but for some reason they are more delicious and they have the MOST AWESOME ice, it's the little tiny barrel shaped and it's in a huge cup for .50 cents!!!! They are open 24 hours and have a drive up window on the side they have awesome little pastry things that are triangle shaped and melt in your mouth....... the women in there are just as sweet at the donuts and will always throw in a few donut holes or those awesome little pastries in your bag for no charge... it's near OCC and Costa Mesa High School, off Baker across from the Taco Bell .... and it's the traditional hole-in-the-wall bar but with donuts!!!!!!

These donuts are seriously good. I mean, most donuts usually are, but these are a special, healthy-tasting type of donut. Probably because, according to a big red sign posted on the glass window, they use trans-fat free vegetable oil. So instead of feeling gross and sluggish after eating donuts, I feel happy and energized. My personal recommendation? Regular glazed. and a chocolate milk. yummmm Additional plus- OPEN 24 hours! how cool is that?? be sure to leave a tip for the old cambodian folk working the register at 3 am.

I really like this little shop. They don't always have the biggest or best selection, but the staff more than makes up for that (besides, they're donuts. How many different kinds do you need?).

Went at 8 pm to get half a dozen. Donuts were stale. I've gone other times and the donuts were good but not amazing. the guy that works there is very nice tho.

The doughnut holes were excellent, but boy was this place crowded. When we walked up there was a thick smell of fry oil in the air which typically is a bad sign but I found the doughnut holes I ate to be light, fluffy and delightful. I also had a Pain aux Raisins which was very nice; fluffy, lightly glazed and came with a cute little twisted pastry that delicately smelled of rose water. The man got a cake doughnut with sprinkles and more doughnut holes. He was quite impressed that the icing was still malleable. We will be back but will most likely go through the drive through.

Probably one of my favorite donut shops around just because the employees are friendly and the donuts are always amazing.

So I know this isn't the Ritz, but seriously the worst service possible. Called at 7pm to place an order for a dozen blueberry. The owner says "no, just come now". Ok...I can't that's why I'm placing the order. After 3 min of bickering she assures me I have an order ready at 12, in fact there will be fresh ones to get at that time too. I get there early, 1030. She gave away one of my donuts, oh, and there are no fresh ones. She says wait 1 minute and we 'll make more for you. After several min she says sorry we're not making any more. Wth? Why'd you make me wait? So she gives me some other donut I don't want then acts like she's going above and beyond by giving me 1 more. Donuttery gives extra donuts on EVERY order. She says $8. I give her a $20. She asks if I have anything smaller. I say no. She says are you sure? I have to walk far to get change. Wthx2? She acts like she's doing me a favor when she hands me $12 in change. I will never.ever.ever.go.here .again.ever

If you ever experience a day where you think your self esteem is low, head on over to DK'S. Their friendly service and delicious donuts will cheer anyone up. A few yelpers recommended the blueberry donuts and I have to agree with their assessment - They are outstanding. The drive-thru window is great and convenient.

Hands down the best apple fritters in the country... maybe world! Okay, okay, okay... maybe nostalgia is at play here... as this was one of my childhood places that I would wake up early each Saturday morning and get packed in the car with my family to pick out our dozen donuts and head back to watch Saturday morning cartoons. Besides the memories, I had one on my most recent trip back home and the donuts were as good as I remembered. My little sister thought I was a nut because I was excited like a little kid to set my alarm and wake up early to get us donuts! It's a tiny store front with a 24-hour drive thru... and quite frankly, it's just perfect in an old school kinda way. Besides the apple fritters, they make an awesome glazed old-fashioned donut as well. However, each time I go, the cake donut with the white glaze and rainbow sprinkles is m favorite! I can't wait to go back home... I will stop by DK Donuts then to Lee's Sandwich for a ca phe sua da to wash down my morning sweet treat! Being on the East Coast for a decade, I have yet to find a donut shop to rival my DK Donuts! I think they are just super fresh! They also always add an extra couple donut holes to any order... I've never been to a donut shop that gives you free treats each and every time:)
